I'm so glad you're here. My name is Toko, and I'm the founder of Wevhu. I am passionate about connecting those who long for it with their heritage, and my own journey has led me to create a platform that does just that.
As a fairly new Zimbabwean immigrant in the US, I quickly experienced the discrimination and marginalization faced by many people of color. But I refused to let that define me.
Instead, I clung to my unshakable belief in my worth and my roots. I realized that many African Americans face the same struggles, and I wanted to help.
That's why I created Wevhu - to bring a piece of Africa to those who yearn to connect with their heritage. I search the continent to find unique, high-quality products that showcase African culture and craftsmanship. And I only work with artisans who share my commitment to fair trade practices.
